I could not wait to get to Brooklyn and see Lane Bryant’s debut of Qristyl Frazier Designs. Yes, the Qristyl Frazier of Project Runway and now of “All on the line with Joe Zee”. Qristyl was given the opportunity to work with Elle magazine’s Creative director, Joe Zee, on his Sundance Channel reality show. He chooses talented designers that are on the brink of losing it all and gives them the opportunity to turn their luck around.
Lane Bryant had a special showing the night before the show aired. All of the giants of plus were there from the founder of Full Figured Fashion Week, Gwen DeVoe to Madeline Figueroa-Jones, owner of Plus Model Magazine. It was a fab event with Lanetinis, Ashley Graham in a body fitting black dress, as beautiful in person as she is on print. Brian Woolf, Group President of Lane Bryant, was in attendance and mentioned that LB is looking to broaden the options for their customers with more independent designers. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Lane Bryant’s $750 bra made of Swavorski crystals. Amazing!
Here’s to Joe Zee for keeping talented designers afloat, Brian Woolf for keeping LB vibrant and in the moment and to Qristyl Frazier for being the example many plus size designers hope to be. Good luck to all!
Don’t forget to check out my pics. I was wearing my Anne Klein leather jacket, cashmere scarf, an LB basic black tee and LB black jeans tucked into my extremely comfortable, MUNRO stretch black boots. The hair was on curl patrol. I used Garnier Fructis mousse for curly hair. It gives my hair more ringlets than frizz. I suggest using it no more than once a week or for special occassions. ‘Til next time!
