This week at The Showroom in Washington D.C., the Real Housewives of Potomac celebrated Gizelle Bryant’s EveryHue Beauty product launch. Gizelle created twelve hues of tinted moisturizer with a foundation brush and blending sponge. She was inspired after having a difficult time finding foundation to match her complexion. The dream of EveryHue Beauty became possible with the addition of three partners, makeup artist Karlene Damallie, Erika Lilles and Sophia Rabkin.
“I could never really find one foundation or tinted moisturizer that matched my skin tone that didn’t read orange or yellow or red so I had to mix things, which becomes expensive so I really wanted to create something in which you didn’t have to do that anymore,” she explains. “So it really required us spending a lot of time in the lab working on the formulations. EveryHue really blends into your skin and matches your skin tone perfectly.” As told to People.com/Colleen Kratofil @ckcolleen
Ms. Bryant has an increased interest in her brand since the launch of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. She has two major stores interested in purchasing EveryHue Beauty. On Fox5DC Good Day DC, Gizelle stated “Rihanna’s makeup line helped to bring light to the need of women of color. We’ve been ignored and she helped bring attention to it.”
The pop up shop was buzzing with interested potential customers and those wanting their moment in the spotlight. The Bravo series was still in full production at the event, so every housewife made an appearance. Charrisse Jackson Jordan was accompanied by her adorable daughter and BJ Coleman, PR to the stars. Ashley Darby, wearing an emerald green lace jumpsuit, was escorted by her husband, Michael Darby. Monique Samuels(loved her loose waves and body-con dress), Karen Huger and Robyn Dixon (with an ode to the 70’s with a short, flipped hair style a la Farrah Fawcett and sailor pant) also gave their support and looked amazing. Best dressed Curvysta award goes to….drum roll…Mrs. Karen Huger. From head to toe it was obvious that Mrs. Huger took time and energy to get it right!
