This year’s 2018 Gospel Stellar Awards, www.TheStellarAwards.com, produced by Don Jackson, will be hosted by Kirk Franklin at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The show, tickets are available to the public, will air on TV ONE, Friday, March 30th at 9PM ET/8PM CT. Snoop Dogg will perform gospel songs from his new album “Bible of Love”with Tye Tribbett and after six years, sisters Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell will reunite to perform as Mary Mary. Tasha Page Lockhart Cece Winans Keke Wyatt and more talented artists will grace the stage once again. One of the many highlights of the evening will be the Red Carpet coverage by Internet sensation and comedian, Karlton Humes, aka NotKarltonBanks.
Honoree Tamela Mann is this year’s recipient of the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to the genre of gospel. Mrs. Mann was formerly with Kirk Franklin and the Family before having a successful career in acting. Mrs. Mann can be seen in many Tyler Perry productions and presently stars in “Mann and Wife” with her husband, David Mann.

Cindy Monteiro unveiled her Spring/Summer 2018 collection at the NYFW First Stage. It was the designer’s first showing during NYFW, although she has shown at Paris Fashion Week. Her collection was light and breezy made up of natural fabrics and an amazing attention to details. Her use of diverse models exemplified the culture of Cape Verdean. We can’t wait to see her collection next season.

A new competition series American Beauty star premieres tonight at 10:30PM(Eastern) on Lifetime. The international supermodel and executive producer, Adriana Lima, will host along with celebrity makeup artist, Sir John, Sarah Brown(former Vogue Beauty Director) and renowned fashion photographer, Russell James. Every week celebrity and beauty influencers will guest star as judges, including Christie Brinkley, Behati Prinsloo, Camila Alves and Michelle Phan.
The series will feature beauty challenges for 12 hair and makeup contestants. They will have to design high fashion looks as “beauty directors”. The winning creation will be available on the YouCam Makeup app. The YouCam Makeup app is a complete makeover studio that allows the user to try unlimited makeup looks and hairstyles on their phone. You can then share your new look on social media.
The iconic waterfront neighborhood, Harbor East, was the fashion destination in Baltimore. FashionEASTa, the annual fashion event held in the center of the shopping district, showcased Spring/Summer collections of participating Harbor East retailers. Catherine Pugh, the Mayor of the City of Baltimore introduced Free People, Amaryllis, lululemon athletica, Blanca Flor Silver Jewelry, Anthropologie, Allen Edmonds, White House Black Market, Under Armour Brand House, South Moon Under, Handbags in the City, Christopher Schafer Clothier and Sassanova. DJ Jon Boesche of MIX 106.5 had everyone feeling the beats throughout the event. Harbor East is the perfect destination for your weekend fashion excursion with top retailers and the best of places to nosh during shopping intervals. BIN 604 Wine Sellers, Gordon biersch, The James Joyce Iris Pub and Restaurant, Lebanese Taverna and The Oceanaire are just a few of the top notch restaurant for cocktails and edibles.
If you have the time, take a roundtrip ride on a Baltimore Water Taxi or hop on the Charm City Circulator for a free bus ride around the Waterfront. Walk along the Waterfront Promenade after shopping and dining to enjoy the Waterfront views.
